Common questions

I lost my phone. How do I recover my Marshal account?
Marshal's private keys live in the Secure Enclave on your device, so we cannot recover them on your behalf. To restore access on a new device, install Marshal and verify your phone number again. Your Marshal ID stays the same; your prior signed documents remain valid because they live in the public audit chain. The new device just gains the ability to sign new ones.
Someone sent me a document I don't recognise. What should I do?
Long-press the inbox card and tap Decline. The sender will be notified that you declined. If you believe the sender is impersonating someone or the request is spam, email [email protected]. We keep a hash-chained audit trail and can cross-reference.
I want to cancel my Marshal Premium subscription.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store. Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iPhone, find Trackday Marshal, and tap Cancel. If you cancel, you keep premium access until the end of the current billing period.
How do I delete my Trackday or Marshal account?
Inside the Marshal app: Settings → Delete account → confirm by typing DELETE. Inside the Trackday app: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account. Both paths trigger the same backend delete (your account is soft-deleted immediately, hard-deleted after the retention period). Cryptographic attestations you signed before deletion remain valid for the people you signed with. That audit trail is permanent.
